Over de training

Organizational Behavior Management is an evidence-based method for measurably influencing behaviour in organisations. Both in terms of philosophy and methodology, OBM seamlessly aligns with Lean and Lean Six Sigma. Where other approaches focus on systems and processes, OBM focuses on human behaviour, the factor that determines whether a transformation endures or fails.

In this three-day masterclass, you will learn and apply the fundamental principles of OBM. You will work with practical case studies, practise behaviour specification and analysis, and learn to design interventions that genuinely work. This training is a recognised first step towards the Post Graduate programme to become a Certified OBM Practitioner from the Vrije Universiteit.

Guided by consultants who apply this daily in practice.

Organizational Behavior Management is an evidence-based method that focuses on influencing and improving behaviour within organisations to enhance performance and results. It is based on behavioural science and applied within work environments.

The goal of the training is to teach participants how to create, influence, and embed desired behaviour within organisations, ensuring that improvement initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma remain successful.

The training is intended for directors, managers, Lean Six Sigma Champions, and (Master) Black Belts who play a significant role in organisational change and behavioural development.

Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) focuses on influencing and embedding behaviour, while Lean Six Sigma focuses on process improvement and reducing waste and variation. The connection lies in the fact that process improvements are only sustainable if the corresponding employee behaviour changes. OBM ensures that Lean Six Sigma results endure by stimulating desired behaviour and embedding it within the organisation.

Change management focuses on guiding organisations through changes, often at a strategic and organisational level. Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) complements this by specifically focusing on individual and group behaviour. Where change management provides direction and structure, OBM ensures that people actually adopt different behaviours, making changes more effective and lasting.
