Discover the Power of Combining Lean and Six Sigma

Lean Six Sigma combines efficiency and quality by reducing waste and controlling variation. Data analysis leads to stable processes, improved performance, and informed decision-making within organisations and projects.

Symbol’s training courses teach participants how to apply Lean Six Sigma practically. Our Lean Six Sigma Yellow, Green, and Black Belt training programmes develop skills, improve processes, and analyse data. The result is measurable outcomes within your organisation and projects.

Combination of Lean and Six Sigma

Lean Six Sigma originated from a combination of Lean thinking (from Toyota) and Six Sigma methodology (from Motorola). Where Lean focuses on flow and efficiency, Six Sigma aims at quality improvement by reducing variation. Together, they form a powerful approach to process optimisation.

DMAIC Approach

The core of Lean Six Sigma is the DMAIC roadmap: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, and Control. This structured approach helps organisations thoroughly analyse problems, implement solutions, and sustainably embed improvements. This approach is now used for both Lean and Six Sigma projects.

Application of Lean Six Sigma

With Lean Six Sigma, you achieve demonstrable improvements in quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. By better managing processes and basing decisions on data, organisations become more agile and better able to continuously improve. Lean Six Sigma is applied worldwide across various sectors.

The right training depends on your experience and role. Beginners start with Yellow Belt, professionals often choose a Green Belt, and experienced improvement managers opt for Black Belt. Unsure? Let us advise you based on your learning goals and your organisation’s ambitions.

An LSSA-certified training course guarantees content, level, and examination quality. This increases the value of your certificate in the job market and ensures international recognition of your Lean Six Sigma competencies.

For Green and Black Belt training courses, a practical project is optional, but it is highly recommended. It is the best way to truly learn how Lean Six Sigma works. By carrying out a Lean Six Sigma project, you directly apply the theory within your organisation, leading to tangible improvements and a higher learning return.

Yes, you can join at any level directly. Incidentally, the first training days of the Black Belt are the same as the Green Belt programme. You can join directly or follow an upgrade training course later.

No statistics are needed for Yellow Belt. For Green and especially Black Belt, you will work with statistical techniques, but these are explained step-by-step and applied practically within the training. We use Minitab in the Green and Black Belt training. After the training, you can also use other applications in your own organisation.
