IATF 16949 Auditor

An IATF 16949 system is only as strong as the audits that test it. Without certified internal auditors, you will miss weaknesses until an external auditor finds them. This training makes you a certified IATF 16949 1st/2nd party auditor.

An effective internal audit requires more than just knowledge of the standard. You must be able to prepare, perform, and report on audits in accordance with ISO 19011:2018 and the specific requirements of IATF 16949. In this two-day training, you will learn exactly that, in both theory and practice through role-play and a practical case study.

The training is provided by a senior consultant from Symbol with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Our trainers are officially certified IATF 16949 1st/2nd party auditors and meet all the requirements set for training providers within the standard.

Who is this training for?

The IATF 16949 Auditor training is intended for professionals who wish to perform internal or supplier audits within the automotive industry in accordance with IATF 16949.

This training is suitable for:

• Quality managers and quality staff in the automotive sector
• Internal auditors seeking certification
• Professionals performing supplier audits
• Auditors for other standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (day 1)

Prior knowledge of IATF 16949 and the Core Tools, or evidence of having completed the IATF 16949 & Core Tools training, is required. The educational level is MBO to HBO+.

• Perform both internal and supplier audits as a certified 1st/2nd party auditor

The IATF 16949 1st/2nd party auditor exam is taken on day two. This consists of a theoretical exam and a practical case study that is explained orally. Those who pass will receive an official certificate demonstrating that the participant meets the IATF 16949 guidelines for internal auditors. The exam is included in the price.
