What are the distinguishing techniques in the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training?

In addition to the Lean foundation, you will learn statistical techniques such as measurement system analysis, hypothesis testing, capability analysis, and design of experiments. This training includes a 6-month Minitab licence. This allows you to achieve data-driven improvements and demonstrably reduce process variation.

What does a Lean Green Belt project deliver?

A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt delivers measurable quality improvement by optimising processes in a data-driven way. Errors and variation demonstrably decrease. This includes shorter lead times (up to 50%), controlling noise factors, and less scrap (target: Cpk 2.0 or 3.4 ppm scrap).

Which format suits me best?

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training is offered in four variants.

• Standard: 8-day classroom training
• Fasttrack: accelerated 6-day training (requires more self-study and experience)
• Bootcamp: intensive 5 days + 4 evenings, including overnight stay and dinner at an inspiring location
• AI Opex: accelerated 6-day training + 2 days AI for Operations

Twice a year, during the holiday period, we offer a Bootcamp variant. This is an intensive 5-day and 4-evening training at an inspiring location in the centre of the Netherlands. Four overnight stays, breakfast, and dinner are included. We adapt the games (what about Archery to practice MSA, for example?)

The training prepares you for the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt exam of the Lean Six Sigma Academy (LSSA), an internationally recognised certification body. The LSSA certificate is used worldwide by training and examination institutes, including the University of Twente, APMG International, and EXIN. In the Netherlands, the certificate is issued by the University of Twente and is worth 5 EC.

The exam is optional and consists of a theoretical and practical part. For the practical exam, you must carry out a DMAIC project at Green Belt level.

Symbol is an ‘Accredited Training Organisation’ (ATO), where you can order an exam voucher and receive guidance for your practical project.
