The Champion is the principal of a Lean or Six Sigma breakthrough project

In implementing Lean and Six Sigma projects, Green and Black Belts often run into the problem that their manager is not sufficiently familiar with the role he or she has in a breakthrough project. Furthermore, the Champion often has insufficient knowledge of Lean Six Sigma as a methodology.

The Champion does not need to have in-depth substantive knowledge of Lean Six Sigma techniques, but should understand what can be expected from a particular technique.

The participants of this 1-day master class are board members, managers or Master Black Belt and involved in the transformation process. In this role, they are responsible for managing the Green and Black Belts working on improvement projects and, on the other hand, for designing and rolling out continuous improvement within their organization. Within this master class we pay attention to both topics.

For whom

This training is designed for executives and managers. In the process of continuous improvement, they have the role of “Champion. The Champion is the owner of the problem and principal of an improvement project. The Champion is involved in the project selection and direction of the project manager (Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt). Additionally, this training is suitable for individuals who already have knowledge and experience with Lean or Six Sigma projects and aim to advance to the role of Master Black Belt.

Objective

The training begins with the long-term strategic goals of the participants’ organizations. Participants will share what initiatives they have undertaken to roll out continuous improvement within their organizations. In this, the method (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, etc.) is secondary to the process of transformation. What are you running into and how have you dealt with it?

In this training, you will gain new knowledge about several crucial elements in setting up a continuous improvement organization. Through the sharing of experiences, problems and solutions, each participant will take home something they can use internally to get back to the transformation process.
