Lean or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training from Symbol

Symbol Green Belt training courses train you to become a Lean or Lean Six Sigma specialist in executing complex improvement projects. As a Green Belt, you will soon be improving operational processes as well as quality. Does this sound like the perfect solution? Then Green Belt Lean is for you!

You will learn Lean techniques (which allow you to design processes more efficiently) and, if desired, Six Sigma techniques (to reduce variation in processes). So Green Belt Lean is very useful if you want to be able to execute complex improvement projects efficiently, effectively and specialized.

After the training – with your certificate of participation or internationally recognized LSSA certificate in your pocket – as a Lean Green Belt specialist in your organization, you will ensure significant improvements in your organization’s operational processes and, with Six Sigma, also fewer errors and fewer rejects. This translates into lower costs and higher customer satisfaction. Therefore, a Green Belt training brings with it several benefits that will benefit you greatly in the long run.

Green Belts typically work on improving processes within a particular department, while Black Belt projects are often cross-departmental. Nevertheless, the impact of a Green Belt project can be very large, making significant contributions to business and customer satisfaction. Depending on your interest and what you want to achieve, you can come to us for both a Lean and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. If you have already taken Lean Green Belt training, it is possible to take only the Six Sigma upgrade.

What is the difference between Lean Green Belt and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt?

The difference between a Lean Green Belt and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is the knowledge you gain on Six Sigma. In the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, we cover Lean techniques as well as Six Sigma statistical and analytical techniques. After completing Lean Green Belt training, you can become more proficient in Six Sigma by taking the subsequent Six Sigma upgrade training. Unsure if Six Sigma Green Belt or yet a Lean Green Belt training best suits your needs? Please feel free to contact us.

Process optimization and shortening lead times with Lean

The Lean Green Belt directs the operational process to be more stable and efficient. The Lean way of working aims to achieve maximum value for the customer with as little waste as possible (Muda). With the right combination of specialist knowledge of the process and application of Lean techniques, the Lean Green Belt is able to achieve significant improvements in reducing lead time and work in progress, thereby reducing costs.

Six Sigma for reducing variation and reducing rejection

Lean Six Sigma Green Belts are specialists in executing complex improvement projects. On the one hand, Lean Six Sigma Green Belts work to improve operational processes. By applying the aforementioned Lean techniques, waste is identified and eliminated. On the other hand, Lean Six Sigma Green Belts work to improve quality. Applying Six Sigma techniques reduces variation and increases capability. With Six Sigma, you will fill your backpack with many powerful techniques for visualizing and analyzing data. Even if you have never been a whiz at math, after Six Sigma training you will be able to make statements about whether or not certain factors contribute significantly to the problem or not. This leads to higher quality and less rejection. To apply Six Sigma techniques, we use Minitab.

From Lean to Six Sigma and from Green to Black

After taking the Lean Green Belt training, you can move on and take the Six Sigma Green Belt (upgrade). You can also advance to the Lean Black Belt (upgrade) training. If you have completed the full Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, you can continue your training in the Lean Black Belt or the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. The full flow chart can be found on our website.

Save time with fast track program of Green Belt training

The full Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training course normally lasts 8 days. This Six Sigma Green Belt training can also be taken as a 6-day Fasttrack program. This is a hybrid form of classroom training and self-study via elearning. This saves a lot of travel time, but Six Sigma Green Belt does require more time for self-study. You then get access to your own elearning portal in addition to the physical learning materials, which you can use on your laptop, ipad or smartphone. This digital environment offers instructional videos, explanatory texts and additional interactive exercises on Green Belt.

Green Belt training courses: objective

After completing Green Belt training, you can work in your own department as a project leader with Lean (Six Sigma) initiatives and improvement projects.

After taking the Lean Green Belt training, you will look at processes differently. You have mastered Lean techniques that allow you to design processes more efficiently. You are able to identify processes and value streams. In doing so, you will master a wide range of practical Lean techniques to make processes more stable and predictable. You can identify redundant activities and assess process performance more objectively. This leads to shorter lead times and thus satisfied customers.

If you have additionally taken the Six Sigma Green Belt part, then thanks to the application of Six Sigma techniques combined with the structured DMAIC approach, you will be able to effectively address and resolve persistent quality problems. You have mastered techniques to reduce variation in processes, resulting in fewer errors and rejects. You will be amazed at what the power of applying certain Six Sigma techniques and using Minitab is. These applications will also lead to lower costs and higher customer satisfaction.

Lean (Six Sigma) Green Belt training: study load
