Why stable and predictable processes are the next step
In the first two CIMM levels, workplaces are organised, standards are established, and a structure for daily improvement is set up. This creates a stable foundation in which employees recognise deviations, discuss performance, and take on improvement actions.
CIMM Level 3 focuses on improving process flows and achieving stable, predictable performance. The goal is to reduce disruptions, long lead times, high inventory levels, errors, and unnecessary actions.
Lean principles, process analysis, and data-driven improvement are central to this. With techniques such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Mining, processes are made visible. Subsequently, waste, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies can be addressed in a targeted manner.
When processes become more stable and predictable, a work environment is created in which teams spend less time firefighting and gain more control over quality, delivery time, costs, and customer value.
