What is Process Mining?

Process Mining is a data-driven analysis method that gives organisations insight into how processes actually run. Instead of only working with assumptions or manually drawn process maps, Process Mining uses digital process data from systems such as ERP, CRM or workflow software. By analysing event logs (data about who did what, when and in what order), the actual process is automatically reconstructed and visualised. This makes variations, bottlenecks, waiting times, deviations and inefficiencies visible.

Process Mining helps organisations to better substantiate process improvements. It makes it clear where processes deviate from the design, where delays occur and where improvement actions have the most effect.
